Globulin

Liver Function

The Globulin test assesses the levels of a particular type of protein known as globulin in the bloodstream. Globulins are integral components of the immune system, aiding in the defense against infections and diseases. This test is typically performed to evaluate immune system functionality and diagnose specific medical conditions.

Elevated globulin levels may signify an infection, chronic inflammation, or an autoimmune disorder. Conversely, decreased globulin levels may indicate liver or kidney disease, malnutrition, or an immune system malfunction.
